Located in the incomparable beauty of the Andalusian mountains, Santa María meanders through a valley following its contours and is surrounded by natural vegetation made up of pines, oaks, cork oaks, olive trees and small stream through much of the course.

The front nine is a more demanding challenge with three par5 holes, while the inward half with three par3 holesis more forgiving and has more recovery holes.
